Operational Risk Manager

Assistant Vice President - Risk & Compliance – Europe & Ireland

A global asset management organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to focus on Business Continuity for their operations team near Frankfurt. Reporting to the Head of Oversight, this role provides the opportunity to lead BCM practices, strengthen resilience, and ensure compliance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the Business Continuity framework, ensuring plans are effective, practical, and aligned with both internal and external requirements.
• Work closely with operational teams, including IT and first-line business units, to embed BCM practices, conduct trainings, and support execution of continuity plans.
• Monitor and review crisis management procedures, incident response protocols, and control measures to ensure the organisation is prepared for unexpected events.

Required experience and skills

• Minimum of three years’ experience in Business Continuity or Operational Resilience within financial services or a related regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of BCM methodologies, incident and crisis management, and regulatory obligations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English and advanced or native-level German.
