We are looking to support our rapidly growing team as soon as possible.
Position: TV‑L: 38.5 h/week (100%)
Contract: initially 2‑year fixed‑term, subject to extension. Salary based on TV‑L.
We are a leading university hospital in Germany, offering a unique network of research, teaching, and health care at the highest level. The Fenech Lab is a newly established DFG‑funded Emmy‑Noether research group at the Center for Biochemistry, University of Cologne. Located on one of Europe's top research campuses with state‑of‑the‑art facilities, our mission is to understand why, in the eukaryotic secretory pathway, many proteins function together. We use high‑throughput protein interactor profiling, cell biology, and biochemical tools in baker's yeast and mammalian cells to uncover unique regulators and/or clients of homologous machineries.
We seek an enthusiastic postdoc who shares our fascination with the largest organelle in the cell – the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) – and wants to join our dynamic team.
Please submit a single PDF containing a self‑written cover/motivation letter (no more than 1 page), a two‑page CV (containing publications/pre‑prints and the contact details of two referees), and relevant copies of degree certificates.
Applications from female candidates are expressly welcome and will be given priority in the event of equal suitability, competence and professional performance. People with disabilities are welcome to apply and will be treated preferentially in the event of equal suitability and qualification.
