This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient application systems within the payments industry. The Principal Architect will provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and architectural oversight across diverse projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs. Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of information systems, including frontend and backend technologies, databases, cloud infrastructure, and networking solutions.
- Translate logical system designs into physical implementations while ensuring security, performance, and compliance standards.
- Provide strategic guidance to project teams and stakeholders, influencing architectural decisions and resource allocation.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and effective communication among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Promote architectural best practices, ensuring high-quality design, development, and deployment standards.
- Navigate complex technical and organizational landscapes to balance competing priorities and requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in application architecture with proficiency in frontend and backend technologies, programming languages, frameworks, databases, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and application security.
- Strong background in software integration using ESBs, MQs, API Gateways, and event streaming solutions.
- Proficiency in Agile, DevOps, and TDD methodologies, along with familiarity with development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, and database software.
- Demonstrated Payments industry experience, including payment processing solutions.
- Knowledge of system design patterns such as OOP, FP, CQRS, REST, SOLID, and SmartUI.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to lead distributed teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders globally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
