This position is based in Munich or Langen and offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of embedded compute and AI in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing embedded software AI concepts for new platforms with hardware accelerators, focusing on safety and power constraints.
• Designing and benchmarking compute infrastructure, including core selection and virtualization.
• Prototyping and benchmarking AI assistance to improve development efficiency.
• Defining software requirements and top-level architecture, ensuring seamless integration.
• Influencing platform definition and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Leading proof-of-concept initiatives to demonstrate new technologies.
• Conducting technical benchmarking and evaluation of solutions.
• Engaging with customers and partners to showcase expertise and foster relationships.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; PhD is advantageous.
• At least 6 years of experience in automotive and embedded software engineering, with 2-3 years in embedded AI.
• Knowledge of CPU cores like ARM, ARC, RISC-V, Tricore.
• Leadership experience guiding teams and projects.
• Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR, TensorFlow, KERAS, Matlab, Python, Rust, Embedded C/C++.
• Curiosity in applying LLMs and AI agents to development processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
