The Principal Product Manager leads the strategy and execution of large-scale initiatives, delivering user-centered digital products and services that create meaningful impact for end users. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and program leadership, to align product vision with organizational goals. You will guide product development from conception to delivery, ensuring solutions are innovative, scalable, and human-centered. The position requires expert stakeholder management, agile methodology proficiency, and the ability to translate complex problems into actionable product strategies. You will contribute to shaping best practices, mentoring team members, and influencing both short-term outcomes and long-term organizational strategy.
Accountabilities:
- Set product strategy and direction for multiple large-scale initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver human-centered products and services.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and outcomes effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leadership to define project strategy, scope, and resource allocation.
- Mentor and guide product managers and other team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate on project scoping, statements of work, and effort estimation to ensure successful delivery.
- Represent the product discipline in cultivation efforts, contributing to vision, planning, and project development.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve product development processes and organizational product capability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering successful products and services.
- Experience leading multiple products or large initiatives across teams and organizational levels.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to define measurable goals and roadmaps.
- Expertise in agile methodologies, iterative product development, and modern software practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience across diverse teams and backgrounds.
- Ability to leverage user research, usability testing, and data analytics to inform product decisions.
- Excellent judgment in product prioritization, risk mitigation, and decision-making under ambiguity.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior product managers or team members.
- Passion for delivering meaningful impact through technology and human-centered design.
- Bonus: experience in product advisory, consulting, or B2B2C product management, particularly with government or regulated industries.
