    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Graylog. We are currently looking for a Sales Director- North Central in the United States.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to drive growth in the North Central region by leading strategic sales of advanced Threat Detection, Investigation, & Response (TDIR) solutions. The Sales Director will manage the full sales cycle, influence C-level decision-makers, and collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that optimize enterprise IT operations. You will leverage both strategic insight and technical knowledge to close high-value deals while building strong, lasting customer relationships. The role requires a mix of leadership, tactical execution, and analytical skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will also have the chance to represent a recognized solution with a strong open-source community presence, contributing to market expansion and organizational success. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on strategy, relationship-building, and measurable business impact.

    Accountabilities

    • Manage the entire sales cycle from qualified lead to closed deal for all opportunities in the North Central region.
    • Identify key accounts, critical contacts, and incumbent technologies to develop tailored strategies.
    • Build and maintain a channel community as a prospecting mechanism.
    • Analyze objections (pricing, product, competition, political factors) and address them proactively.
    • Develop detailed procurement cycle strategies, leveraging systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Prepare quotations, proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to finalize contracts.
    • Serve in a consultative role on technical issues, utilizing solution-selling methodologies and strategic concepts.
    • Communicate the value of TDIR solutions effectively to all stakeholders, including C-level executives.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience selling ROI-driven enterprise software, network/security, or related solutions to C-level decision-makers.
    • Track record of closing six-figure deals and managing 6–12 month sales cycles.
    • Experience selling SaaS solutions and navigating complex organizations.
    • Strong pipeline development methodology and forecasting expertise.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication, strategic selling skills, and analytical ability to assess territory dynamics.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% or as business needs require.
    • Based in the North Central region (ideally Chicago, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, or surrounding areas).
