Overview

Senior Principal & Head of Research - Technology and Development at ViaCon Hamco GmbH (via SpenglerFox). The role combines extensive industry experience with today’s cutting-edge technology to drive research and development in bridges, culverts, geotechnical, and stormwater solutions. ViaCon offers a range of state-of-the-art, reliable, long-lasting solutions designed to meet evolving civil engineering challenges.

For developing the German operations, which are managed from the local HQ in Mühlheim an der Ruhr, ViaCon Hamco seeks a motivated and self-driven sales professional with strong business acumen and technical sales skills. The incumbent will apply solution selling to maximize profitability and will work with ViaCon’s technical designs and product range.

The candidate will report to the Business Unit Director in Germany. The team includes a future Sales Technician and is regionally structured to align with the sales strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for a defined region/district/town, drive revenue, look after existing clients, and develop new clients
  • Support ViaCon Hamco’s product and solutions development through market intelligence gathered from customers and stakeholders
  • Cover all sales and marketing activities based on the defined sales/ channel strategy
  • Deploy the ViaCon sales process with CRM support from the Business Unit and the Commercial Development/Marketing Group
  • Follow KPIs and implement local business plans aligned with BU strategy
  • Ensure demand planning within the S&OP process according to KPI

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical sales environment with emphasis on construction
  • Implement the agreed country plan in the assigned area/district as part of the Group Business Unit strategy
  • Take responsibility for sales and CMII for own area/district; ability to prepare tenders
  • Apply ViaCon’s sales approach and create leads proactively
  • Manage CRM as part of daily activities
  • Drive sales and key account management for assigned areas of the country and business units
  • Create sales projections and set objectives for assigned areas
  • Execute sales and marketing plans for the assigned area
  • Ensure appropriate demand planning within the S&OP process
  • Comply with organizational policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws
  • Maintain good communication with stakeholders for local stock and warehouse
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
