Satellite Navigation Engineering Trainee (Student Worker) (m/f/d) | Munich, Germany

Tasks and Responsibilities:

In Spaceopal, we're looking for a motivated student to join our team as a student-worker focused on satellite navigation systems, especially on the Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) and Authentication Services (OSNMA, CAS). This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge GNSS technologies. You will collaborate closely with the project manager and explore the complexities of new Galileo and Multi GNSS receivers and algorithms.

As part of the Engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

1. Analyzing requirements for GNSS receivers
2. Conducting verification and validation to ensure functionality and performance
3. Developing and integrating basic software modules
4. Preparing and maintaining technical documentation
5. Contributing to project milestones and team meetings

Required Qualifications and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Studies in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Programming skills, especially in C/C++ and/or Python
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Interest in satellite navigation and complex algorithms
