SEM Specialist EMEA (Munich)

The role

The SEM Specialist handles daily Google account maintenance and evaluates SEM performance for the assigned accounts, campaigns, & ad groups using best practices and tools. This position is responsible for daily management, growth, and creation of campaigns and ad groups within the assigned accounts and/or campaigns.

What to expect

• Perform daily account maintenance and creation of pay-per-click accounts on Google, Bing and other search platforms as assigned.
• Manage the execution of search marketing, shopping & PMAX campaigns, including setup, analysis, optimization, monitoring, reporting, budget pacing & forecasting, keyword research and expansion.
• Provide recommendations and execute strategies for campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with company goals.
• Optimize campaign performance through continuous testing & monitoring including collection and analysis of negative keywords.
• Manage budget of all assigned paid search accounts and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Responsible for initiating the building and maintenance of reports and dashboards using search platform data plus data from additional sources.
• Maintain and monitor account metrics as assigned and make recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain and actively pursue awareness on SEM Industry trends and changes and share this knowledge with the SEM team.

What we are looking for

• Degree in marketing, statistics or related field or at least one-year suitable combination of education and experience.
• First experience with hands-on pay-per-click account management, bid management and web analytics tools.
• Thorough understanding of pay-per-click campaigns using Google Ads. Google Ads Certification preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and analytical focus with the ability to independently implement paid search optimization findings.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present recommendations and suggestions for growth.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and teaching skills.
• Sound judgment in managing budgets to identify issues and escalate when appropriate.
• Strong experience with all Microsoft Office applications, solid knowledge in Excel required.
• Fluent English skills (written and verbal); German skills and additional languages would be a plus.
