Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and reconciling accounts for suppliers, internal teams, and external customers. Your primary focus will be ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with government regulations, industry standards, and accounting principles, specifically German HGB and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record transactions within accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial accounting.
• Manage bank postings, including control of incoming and outgoing payments.
• Process and post accounts payable invoices.
• Handle cash accounting and payment transactions.
• Reconcile and maintain debtor accounts, general ledger, and vendor accounts.
• Monitor externally financed customer orders.
• Assist with legal proceedings and audits.
• Actively support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide support for administrative tasks related to foreign sales.
• Prepare advance turnover tax returns and recapitulative statements.
• Manage intercompany payment transactions.
• Oversee accounting for fixed assets.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred but not mandatory).
• Fluency in German (mandatory) and good command of English.
• Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
