    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Posit PBC. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer, Testing Infrastructure in United States.

    We are seeking a talented and innovative Senior Engineer focused on testing infrastructure to join a collaborative, distributed engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring software quality and reliability across complex systems. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, resilient test environments, and mentor colleagues in test automation best practices. This is an opportunity to influence the quality of software used by data scientists globally, creating reliable, high-performance tools that support impactful real-world applications.

    Accountabilities:

    • Design, maintain, and expand automated test infrastructure to increase coverage, speed, and resilience, including end-to-end, integration, API, and performance tests.
    • Build and manage reproducible test environments using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
    • Develop and optimize performance testing strategies and frameworks using internal and external tools.
    • Maintain and enhance existing testing frameworks while establishing strategies for future CI/CD improvements.
    • Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage, assess risk, and drive continuous product improvement.
    • Mentor colleagues and promote a culture of quality and automation best practices across the engineering organization.
    • Partner with developers and support teams to investigate customer-reported issues and ensure smooth user experiences.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience building and maintaining test automation infrastructure at scale.
    • Strong skills in automated testing using tools such as Cypress or Python-based frameworks.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
    • Solid understanding of end-to-end, integration, API, and performance testing strategies.
    • Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient testing solutions.
    • Excellent collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills within highly distributed teams.
    • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies in testing and automation.
    • Experience driving quality initiatives in a fast-paced, complex software environment.
