    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of AWeber. We are currently looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer in the United States.

    This role offers the opportunity to shape and maintain high-impact web applications for a fully remote, collaborative team. You will develop new React-based client applications while supporting and modernizing legacy systems, ensuring a seamless and performant experience for users. Working closely with engineers, designers, and product managers, you will influence the design, implementation, and evolution of key features like email campaigns, landing pages, and signup forms. This position is ideal for a motivated engineer who thrives on solving technical challenges, mentoring peers, and staying ahead of emerging frontend trends, including the integration of AI into development processes.

    Accountabilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain modern React client applications and support legacy systems built with JavaScript, PHP, and other technologies.
    • Collaborate with Product and UI/UX teams to craft intuitive and efficient experiences for customers.
    • Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges, including API design and frontend-backend integration.
    • Write maintainable, secure, and high-quality code while implementing unit and acceptance tests.
    • Mentor and guide other engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate team expertise.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and integrate AI tools to enhance development workflows.
    • Take ownership of projects and systems, advocating for improvements and maintaining alignment with current best practices.

    Requirements

    • Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SASS, React, and Jest.
    • Strong experience implementing or using React component libraries.
    • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and browser resource caching.
    • Daily usage and familiarity with AI technologies in development.
    • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code.
    • Preferred experience with: TailwindCSS, React Query, React Testing Library, Federated Applications / Module Federation, virtualized React table/list libraries, PHP, and CDN caching.
