What You'll Be Doing

  • Foster a collaborative environment by integrating feedback, supporting agile practices, and working closely with Agile Coaches. Encourage a culture of openness, continuous learning, and growth, emphasizing the importance of technological excellence and innovation.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable stance, being a reliable source of support and guidance for your teams. Embrace a leadership style that balances proactive problem‑solving with humility and transparency, valuing the contributions of every team member.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team (Design Lead, Product Manager, Engineering Lead) to drive delivery, effectiveness, and genuine teamwork.
  • Recruit and develop a skilled, diverse team, building talent from scratch through our Engineering Entry Programs, and implement structured processes for personal and professional growth.
  • Take responsibility for budgeting, resource planning, and coordination across departments to achieve seamless collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Play an active role in strategy formulation and goal setting in collaboration with product, design, and technology partners, fostering an environment that empowers decentralized decision‑making and innovation.
  • Regularly assess team and engineering effectiveness using data‑driven insights and implement initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, adhering to best practices and standards.
  • Lead transparency efforts in cross‑team initiatives, ensuring clear communication of progress and challenges, and proactively identify and address risks.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Proven experience in an Engineering Management/Leadership role.
  • Servant leadership: embody a people‑centric approach, creating safe spaces and unblocking teams to ensure their success.
  • Technical acumen: solid understanding of software engineering, including DevOps practices, CI/CD, and architecture.
  • Strategic thinker: strong organizational and decision‑making skills with a knack for pragmatic problem‑solving.
  • Strategic insight and risk awareness: oversee cross‑team initiatives with detail and a proactive approach to mitigating risks.
  • Communicator and collaborator: exceptional communication skills, capable of managing up and aligning teams behind shared goals.
  • Growth‑oriented: commitment to continuous personal and professional growth, advocating a growth mindset.
  • Language proficiency: fluency in English is required.
