Senior Media Rights and Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Join our Global Partnerships unit, the team responsible for growing Sportradar's media rights business and building relationships with broadcasters and organisations all over the world. This unit sells the Sportradar media rights to broadcasters worldwide and negotiates long‑term deals. The Global Partnerships team supports a wide range of projects, including our OTT platform, live streaming solutions, and media products that help partners to provide top‑quality sports experiences.

This role is all about building new relationships with potential clients and ensuring we get more business. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced sales and business development manager for our media rights unit. The role will focus on selling Sportradar’s media rights portfolio to broadcasters and digital media platforms, supporting collaborations with federations, leagues, or sports rights holders, and acquiring new rights.

The Challenge

  • Be part of the rights sales and business development team for Sportradar.
  • Revenue responsibility for media rights sales in Europe / Americas.
  • Support the rights acquisition process.
  • Identify and acquire new clients.
  • Negotiate new agreements with international clients, including pitching in front of clients.
  • Market‑monitoring and identification of trends.
  • Stick to internal reporting structures for sales KPIs.
  • Support product teams to optimise the products from a sales perspective.

Your Profile

  • Previous proven account management or strong new business development experience in sports media rights or a related sports business area.
  • Strong sales‑driven personality, outgoing individual with a strong desire for new business development.
  • Previous proven E2E sales experience and ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of the wider global sports audiovisual environment (rights and licensing cycles).
  • Fluent in English and German; another language is an advantage.
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the media and digital landscape.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial screening: a quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.
  • Two interviews: meet with the team and later with the Hiring Manager to dive into your experience and discuss team fit.
  • Onsite interview (if not organized in prior stages): meet with the local team and take a tour of our office for a final meet‑and‑greet.
