What you’ll do

You will act as the technical customer advocate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support. Your primary focus is to understand customer needs, design scalable solutions, and drive successful adoption of Cloudflare’s portfolio. You’ll collaborate across teams to provide the deepest technical expertise to keep our customers ahead of evolving internet performance and security challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with customers to gather requirements and present tailored solution designs.
• Partner with Sales to craft proposals, demonstrations, and ROI arguments that articulate the value of Cloudflare’s services.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert on Cloudflare’s products, infrastructure and security technologies (DNS, DDoS, CDN, zero‑trust, etc.).
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on feedback, feature requests and early‑adopter use cases.
• Participate in on‑call support and incident response for complex customer issues.

Required qualifications

• Russian language proficiency at a business conversation level.
• 5‑10 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Previous experience in a pre‑sales solutions engineering or consulting role.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong command of business English and other regional languages as required.
• Ability to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize competing demands.
• Deep understanding of internet protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTPS) and security fundamentals (firewalls, TLS, zero‑trust).
• Experience explaining ROI and competitive positioning for DDoS, CDN, DNS, and zero‑trust solutions.
• Comfort with occasional travel (10‑15 days per quarter) to customer sites and conferences.

Bonus skills

• Experience scripting (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and a desire to expand those skills.
• Exposure to emerging security trends such as zero‑trust and SASE.
