This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Compassion International. We are currently looking for a Sr. IT Auditor in United States.

This role provides a strategic opportunity to strengthen organizational accountability and integrity by evaluating and improving IT systems and controls. The Sr. IT Auditor will lead complex audits and assessments, identify risks, and advise leadership on process improvements. You will work across multiple teams and countries, leveraging technical expertise in network security, cloud services, authentication, encryption, and compliance standards. This position requires analytical rigor, the ability to communicate findings clearly, and a commitment to mentoring and collaborating with peers. The role offers autonomy while providing significant impact on operational efficiency and risk management.

Accountabilities

• Plan, lead, and participate in technology audits and risk assessments, communicating findings to management and executive leadership.
• Assess IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and network security controls, identifying exposures and areas for improvement.
• Develop, execute, and review audit tests, applying information system control concepts across a variety of technology settings.
• Coordinate assurance and advisory engagements with cross-functional teams and other audit or risk groups.
• Provide consulting on IT standards, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and control frameworks.
• Occasionally coach or oversee other IT audit specialists and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• May travel to project sites to evaluate operational and IT processes, ensuring assessments support training and development.

Requirements

• Certification from a nationally or internationally recognized organization (e.g., ISACA CISA, IIA CIA, ISC2 CISSP).
• Strong experience in internal IT auditing, including process maturity assessments and project execution.
• Proven ability to lead and contribute to initiatives such as organizational process improvement, data analysis, and audit/GRC implementations.
• Deep understanding of IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and network security practices.
• Knowledge of authentication, encryption, compliance standards, and forensic auditing techniques.
• Familiarity with CRM and financial accounting tools; agile software engineering experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask, organize, and manage complex audit assignments independently or collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel as required.
