Overview

A Doctoral Researcher on Usable Privacy and Security (w/m/d) – Göttingen. Position in the Institut für Informatik, Forschungsgruppe "Computersicherheit und Privatheit". The position is limited to 3 years with 100% FTE (Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L). Starting date as soon as possible.

Your profile

A very good M.Sc. degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, or a related field
Background in at least one of the following: privacy & security, HCI, interactive systems
Strong programming skills
Experience conducting user studies
Ability to work independently with strong teamwork and communication skills
Very good command of both English and German
Strong motivation to pursue a doctoral degree and contribute to high-impact interdisciplinary research

Your Main Responsibilities

Conduct independent research on usable privacy and security, including identifying security and privacy issues faced by users
Design and evaluate human-centered solutions to address those issues
Publish and present results at international peer-reviewed conferences and/or journals
Supervise students in this area
Actively support teaching activities, including examinations
