Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take‑off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi‑role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed‑wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by Rescoré, our highly redundant, military‑grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

As an Aerospace Project Engineer, you are responsible for bringing our system from development into operational reality at customer sites. You combine technical project ownership with operational execution. You structure and manage engineering work packages, define and coordinate flight operations work packages, and ensure training, service readiness, and mission capability for pilot deployments. You don’t stop at system release. You ensure the system flies, performs, and convinces — under real operational conditions. In close collaboration with systems engineering, certification, operations, logistics, and external stakeholders, you lead pilot projects from preparation to execution and evaluation. You make sure all components: aircraft, ground control unit, logistics, personnel, and documentation work as one integrated mission system.

Tasks

• Project applications and documentation with work package, milestone, and staff planning
• Project process planning, tracking, and reporting to relevant panels
• Technical project coordination
• Internal and external project and supplier communication

Qualifications

• Degree: Completed degree (Master) in aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable programs
• Experience: 3 years of practical experience in aerospace engineering
• Method-Knowledge: Aircraft Systems Integration, Flight Operations & Safety/Risk Management, Validation & Verification Processes, Certification Frameworks (e.g., EASA SORA, operational approvals), Project and Stakeholder Management, Requirements Management and Systems Engineering Fundamentals
• Tool-Knowledge (optional) Siemens Teamcenter (or comparable PLM tools), Polarion
• Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2‑Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
