AIRBUS: Aircraft Interior Designer (m/w/d)

Overview

Join us as an Aircraft Interior Designer (m/f/d) and take responsibility for implementing certifiable design concepts, strategic visions, and branding solutions for leading airlines.

Your tasks

• Plan and manage the design process from concept to completion, from the initial briefing through design development, CMF innovation (Colors, Materials and Finishes), and specification to the tendering phase for all worldwide customers within the Airbus industrial process
• Define, monitor, and reinforce project milestones
• Manage and follow up on customer-specific design projects in a multicultural team with daily contact with airline customers worldwide
• Monitor and identify key and emerging trends relevant for Airbus and customer brands
• Create and update trend presentations and product mood boards
• Build and contribute to comprehensive material knowledge both within Airbus and among material suppliers, guiding customers whenever possible towards known, approved, and qualified solutions for efficient industrialization
• Develop and promote colors, materials, and finishes (CMF), including lighting solutions for the diverse Airbus product portfolio to strengthen brand identity in line with departmental strategy
• Provide concepts, guidance, and support for ongoing aircraft mock-up activities
• Understand brand purposes and translate customer brands (airlines) into cabin interior design concepts, including CMF design, lighting design, industrial design, and graphic design

Your qualifications

• A degree in Design, Interior Architecture, Textile Design, Architecture, Graphic Design, or a comparable field
• Professional experience in Interior Design, Customer Service, and Project Management
• Ability to present and communicate design concepts effectively (storytelling) is a plus
• CMF design experience is mandatory
• Brand design experience is mandatory
• Experience in fashion or textile design is a strong plus
• Good knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Familiarity with creative tools to communicate visually (e.g., Adobe CC, Blender)
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is a plus
• Ability to quickly recognize and analyze relationships and functional processes
• Independent, structured, and result-oriented work approach to meet deadlines and coordinate workflows efficiently
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• Willingness to travel to Toulouse and worldwide (frequency according to business needs)
