Application Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer

Globally recognized manufacturer of precision fluid handling solutions , specializing in quaternary diaphragm pumps used in highly sensitive applications across industries such as biopharma, food & beverage, and chemical processing . Known for innovation, reliability, and gentle product handling, they are expanding their engineering team.

The Role

This is a customer-facing engineering position where you act as the technical bridge between clients and internal teams.

You’ll support customers in selecting and implementing the right solutions, while also contributing to application design, testing, and continuous product improvement —making this an excellent entry point into application engineering or technical sales .

• Act as the technical contact for customers and sales teams
• Design and adapt products for customer-specific applications
• Prepare technical quotations and proposals
• Collaborate with internal departments such as R&D, production, and procurement
• Support after-sales troubleshooting and technical issue resolution
• Deliver product training and technical consultations
• Perform application testing and create tailored documentation
• Collect customer feedback and contribute to product and process improvements
• Participate in trade fairs and industry events
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics , or similar (or technician qualification)
• Up to 2 years of experience in an industrial or engineering environment
• Interest in customer-facing roles / technical sales engineering
• Experience in manufacturing, fluid systems, or process industries is a plus
• Fluent in German and English
