What You Will Be Doing

• Architect comprehensive frameworks for AI-powered systems that automate sophisticated elements of software development, including architecture generation, dependency orchestration, and advanced predictive coding capabilities.
• Engage deeply with emerging advancements in AI and software engineering through R&D programs, conference participation, and collaboration with academic and industry networks. We require early awareness and adoption when new AI technologies are released.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Routine Code Maintenance: Performing regular updates or debugging of existing codebases to address minor bugs or enhance functionality incrementally.
• Standard Software Development: Executing basic coding or development work that involves implementing simple features or functionality without the integration of AI technologies.

Artificial Intelligence Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Apply your engineering knowledge to achieve substantial gains in development velocity, error reduction, and code quality standards, driving faster time-to-market for software products and improved customer satisfaction outcomes.

Basic Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-stack software developer (proficiency in both front-end and back-end coding is required).
• Extensive hands-on experience with GenAI code assistants (e.g., Github Copilot, Cursor.sh, v0.dev).
• Prior track record of successfully delivering Generative AI products/projects/solutions/tools.
• Proven experience utilizing various LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral) to address business challenges.
• Knowledge of when and why to select particular LLM models for specific use cases.
• Verified understanding and past implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
