We're looking for an Automation Engineer to map, design, and deploy our first 3–5 core automations across Omniview, QuickBooks, and Outlook, using Relay as the primary orchestration platform.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience connecting multi-system workflows, building clean automations, and documenting processes for handoff and scaling.
Your mission: streamline data flow, reduce manual tasks, and ensure a smooth go-live within two weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow & Process Mapping — Collaborate with the Account Manager to analyze current processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Tool Integration Setup — Connect Omniview, QuickBooks, and Outlook through Relay (or supporting tools like Make or Zapier).
- Automation Design & Testing — Build, test, and optimize workflows that sync client data, trigger communications, and maintain system accuracy.
- GPT-Powered Documentation — Generate detailed automation documentation using GPT-based tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar).
- Training & Handoff — Lead a brief kickoff and training session with the Account Manager to ensure seamless adoption.
- Go-Live Execution — Deliver fully functional automations by the end of Week 2.
Required Tools & Technical Skills
- Automation Platforms: Relay (primary), Make (Integromat), Zapier, n8n, or Power Automate
- Business Tools: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Outlook (email, contacts, calendar), Omniview (CRM or operations platform)
- APIs & Webhooks: Experience configuring triggers and actions between REST APIs or using webhook events
- Documentation: GPT-powered tools (ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar) for process documentation
- Data Management: CSV/Excel manipulation, structured data mapping
- Bonus: Familiarity with accounting workflows or CRM data structures
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience implementing workflow automations between multiple SaaS platforms
- Strong analytical mindset and process improvement orientation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Able to deliver efficiently under short project timelines
- Comfortable with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Notion)
