CaaS and Backend Operations Manager (m/f/d) - Hybrid across Germany

We are looking for a CaaS and Backend Operations Manager (m/f/d) for a permanent position.

The role can be performed from anywhere in Germany with occasional on‑site meetings in Mannheim.

Your Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for ensuring the stable operation of our backend architecture including the charge point monitoring system that centrally supervises, controls, and analyses all charging points.

• You also ensure that system availability, performance and data security are guaranteed at all times.

• You coordinate the onboarding of new charging points into the system, monitor ongoing operations and handle fault analysis and troubleshooting in case of technical backend issues.

• In close alignment with our project teams, the service team and the public charging team you ensure smooth communication and quick resolution of issues.

• Another key part of your role is to actively contribute to the development and operation of our Charging as a Service (CaaS) business segment based on your operational expertise.

• You manage access to our charging infrastructure, develop strategic pricing and tariff models for different customer groups, maintain the corresponding conditions in the backend and monitor the smooth commercial processing of charging sessions.

• You use your experience in system operations to connect technical, operational and commercial requirements, develop service concepts and support the preparation of business cases.

Your profile

• Several years of experience in operations, backend or system management ideally in e‑mobility, energy or automotive.

• Strong technical understanding combined with commercial acumen and the ability to align business impact with operational needs.

• Experience with monitoring systems and troubleshooting.

• Interest in data analysis and process optimisation.

• Understanding of digital business models, especially Charging as a Service, is an advantage.

• Strong communication skills, initiative and ability to work in a team.

• Very good German and English skills. Additional languages are a plus.

• A completed degree in engineering, computer science, business or a comparable field.
