Join us as the Resident Chief Engineer (f/m/d), where you will play a pivotal role in contributing to Wind Power strategy of Industrializing Offshore. Imagine representing Technology Platform in the Plant Cuxhaven Management team, enhancing the collaboration between Operations and Technology functions. You will provide onsite technical expertise for the plant to reach the budgeted output and will also proactively identify improvement opportunities to support exceeding the targets.
How You’ll Make An Impact
As a Resident Chief Engineer, you will have 3 focus areas – proactiveness, faster decision-making and ensuring feedback loopProactive identification of potential design issues that may occur in the production environment and establishing needed solutions by direct discussion with the plant and technology functions to prevent the occurrenceFacilitating faster decision-making mechanism by bridging the distance between plant location and the technology centers around the world (irrespective of the time zones), thus eliminating the waiting time. Direct decision making also enables quicker implementation of production improvementsEnsuring communication loop from fleet to plant for implementation of needed measures (eg. containment, corrective and preventive actions in the plant for an issue identified at the fleet). You will also ensure preventive feedback loop by engaging Technology Platform and Module Chief Engineers for optimizing design based on lessons learnt (preventing late design changes)On the daily business, you will closely collaborate with the Factory Support Engineers and will also interact with the plant at all levels of the organization to share technical expertise and know-how.You will develop central initiatives that positively influence the Industrialization of SG14/15, aligning with our Wind Power business strategy.
What You Bring
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.Long-term experience within wind industry; expertise in wind turbines, especially NacelleVery good Knowledge of system interface and individual components, as well as Direct Drive technologyProficient English, paired with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong stakeholder management skills Strong decision-making abilityGood command of German beneficial
About The Team
You will be part of the Capacity Management team in the Direct Drive Platform - Product Integration function. Together with multinational colleagues, the team hosts pivotal focus areas towards Industrialization such as - procurement collaboration to secure long-term supplier capacity, plant technical support to ensure internal product capacity, supply chain management project setup having end-to-end accountability on material readiness for MKVI & Quality Program, ownership and control of commercial outbound budget for operations and procurement activities.
Resident Chief Engineer is a highly visible role both in Technology and Operations Senior Management.
