The Cluster Strategic Pricing Lead (m/f/d) understands and turns DACH Market knowledge / intimacy into specific Cluster price positioning. Responsible for deploying and leading strategic and cross‑functional pricing initiatives to enable differentiation and competitive advantage, ultimately aiming to win profitable market share across the DACH cluster.
Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives in the cluster.
Identify and leverage unique market opportunities in the DACH cluster to create a competitive pricing advantage.
Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for pricing adjustments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing processes and tools by sharing DACH localized requirements.
Develop pricing models and frameworks to optimize commercial and financial objectives while maintaining or growing market share.
Utilize advanced GSP analytics to assess pricing performance and identify areas for improvement.
Co‑develop with GSP pricing models and frameworks to optimize profitability while maintaining or growing market share.
Leverage existing pricing levers to deliver the commercial and financial objectives such as Web Prices, Promotions, Sharegain.
Identify, implement and fine‑tune specific cluster requirements to increase Tender win rate.
Provide analysis and technical support for the cluster that include setting list prices, EPQT recommended and determining customer specific prices.
Prepare and present regular reports on pricing strategy effectiveness to senior management.
Conduct regular performance analysis to measure the impact of pricing strategies on market share and profitability.
Monitor and adjust pricing strategies to respond to market changes and competitive actions.
Prepare reports of findings and opportunities to increase price attainment.
Drive monthly cluster price review meetings with the cluster and GSP RSD EU leadership team covering pricing performance.
Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and product management teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively executed. Facilitate cross‑functional meetings and workshops to align on pricing strategies and objectives.
Diagnose, propose and implement in close collaboration with the cluster team specific capabilities enhancements.
Support the development and refinement of tools, policies, and procedures that enhance existing performance.
Implement cluster pricing improvement programs, and track financial impact.
Maintain strong communication with GSP, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Portfolio Management, and Senior Leadership teams.
Strong commercial orientation with a balance of pricing and strategic business management capabilities.
A passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a distribution business.
Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in List Price, Promotion, or Tender to structure combined Pricing and Quoting Strategies and then convert cluster pipelines into profitable win rate.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and effectively influence partners. Must relate well to all kinds of people, listen and build constructive relationships, and use diplomacy and tact. Shows creativity and innovation in presenting ideas.
Strategic thinker and problem solver.
Detail oriented, organized and analytical. Has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency.
Excellent analytical capabilities including Excel and relational database skills. Experience with in‑depth financial modeling as well as demonstrated analytical and statistical problem solving skills, including data handling and relational database programming.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad general guidance against a framework of defined business objectives.
Prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable operating within a matrix structure.
Experience with European business and with foreign currency exchange rates is beneficial.
Strong intellect, drive, and communication skills.
Minimum 5‑7 years of work experience in related field.
Ability to travel internationally (<10%).
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business, operations, mathematics or a scientific field, or equivalent work experience. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Excellent analytical capabilities including EXCEL and SQL and experience manipulating large data sets.
Minimum 5 years work experience in related field.
Ability to speak German is essential.
