Community Manager (m/f/d) for industrial painting technology

As a Community Manager, you are at the heart of the world of industrial coating technology, know its people, topics and challenges – and create real added value for decision-makers in in‑house and contract coating companies from personal conversations and encounters.

What you can expect from us

• Together with your teammates, you will lead and develop the leading specialist community in industrial painting technology.
• Your work is always customer‑oriented and you always have the needs of the target groups in mind. You will contribute your expertise in editorial work, storytelling, moderation and product development to the editing and further development of our existing formats.
• You are regularly on site at companies, conferences, trade fairs and association meetings and maintain strong relationships with paint shop managers, innovation drivers, start‑ups and relevant stakeholders.
• You moderate the exchange (e.g. at our own conferences, in roundtables, panels and expert discussions), recognize trends and translate them into concrete offers for the benefit of the community.
• You are a face of the community – known and appreciated in the industry.

What we want from you

• Completed studies or professional experience in the field of surface technology or comparable; alternatively, you are familiar with the structures, dynamics and players in industrial painting technology and are able to move confidently in this field
• Willingness to continuously acquire specialist knowledge
• Ability to discuss with market players on an equal footing and the strength to ask the right questions to get experts talking to each other
• Passion for the industry/technology and the people in it
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Confident moderation and host qualities
• Methodological skills for working on formats (e.g. editorial working methods, moderation techniques, product development methods, co‑creation approaches)
• A feel for topics that move the scene and the ability to develop usable formats from them
• Enjoy traveling (approx. 20 days/year, nationally and internationally)
• Courage to break new ground, seize opportunities and drive innovation forward
• Very good knowledge of English
