Compliance Counsel

Our client is seeking a legal professional to join their central compliance function, focusing on anti-financial crime measures, regulatory monitoring, and internal advisory. This role offers the opportunity to work across teams to strengthen compliance processes and support business operations with expert legal insight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor compliance risks in collaboration with international and local teams.
• Track regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on business operations.
• Support the implementation of controls related to anti-money laundering (AML) and financial sanctions.
• Develop, review, and optimise compliance workflows and internal policies.
• Prepare regular compliance documentation, including reports and annual plans.
• Advise leadership and staff on compliance obligations and best practices.
• Design and deliver training sessions to promote awareness and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with additional expertise in compliance and/or AML regulation.
• Professional experience in the financial sector or a law firm with a financial regulatory focus.
• Familiarity with designing and conducting compliance training.
• Strong analytical, communication, and advisory skills.
