We are seeking a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Designer to support the design and layout of delivery stations, incorporating material handling systems, work zones, modules, and operational components. This position focuses on producing precise and detailed plan and elevation drawings aligned with current standards and adaptable to future design concepts. The CAD Technician will collaborate closely with design engineers and multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver complete, approved design packages.
Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Design Engineers to interpret project requirements and convert them into accurate and detailed CAD layouts for delivery stations.Prepare and refine interior plans and elevation drawings, ensuring alignment with engineering standards, space utilization, and operational efficiency.Work cross-functionally with World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, MHE vendors, architects, and Launch Execution teams to ensure project consistency and compliance.Participate in the design review process, assisting in quality checks to ensure all drawings meet accuracy and completeness standards.Support ongoing updates, redesigns, expansions, and retrofits that enhance safety, productivity, and throughput at delivery facilities.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, helping implement new templates, design processes, and best practices into standard CAD procedures.Review and provide input on permit sets, structural layouts, and floorplans, addressing questions from internal and external project stakeholders.
Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Drafting & Design (or related discipline).Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD experience within architecture, design, civil, or construction settings.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with intermediate-level skills.
Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with 3D modeling, AutoTURN, Revit, and BIM software tools.Experience in designing or drafting warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center layouts.Knowledge of material handling systems and storage equipment.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
