The project is about enhancing Bosch’s access multivendor strategy. The objective is to build a strong partner ecosystem in the field of access control for commercial and public buildings and to strategically integrate cloudbased solutions into our portfolio.

A strategic white spot has been identified in the area of cloudbased access control, which is intended to be addressed through suitable partner solutions.

To consult for this initiative, we are looking for a consultant with deep expertise in the security and access control market to contribute to strategic development and market analysis.

We are seeking a consultant for physical security and access control systems having the skills:

• Demonstrable expertise in the field of physical security / access control
• Strong market knowledge in the area of cloudbased access control
• Experience in:
  1. Strategy projects
  2. Technology and market analyses
  3. Partner ecosystems
• Ideally, experience in one or more of the following areas:
  1. Physical security / building security
  2. Cloud security platforms
  3. Security integrators / manufacturers
• Ability to derive and structure strategic recommendations

Main task/activity

Definition and further development of a multi‑vendor strategy for access control solutions for the commercial and public building segment. The work includes the identification of suitable partners and the derivation of strategic action options.

     • Commercial Buildings
     • Industrial / Manufacturing
     • Additional relevant sectors
   • Evaluation: – Demand for cloudbased access control solutions – Demand for standalone access solutions vs. integrated security platforms – Relevant use cases
3. Benchmarking of potential partners
   • Analysis and comparison of potential technology and platform partners
   • Assessment with regard to: Cloud capability, Integration capability / API strategy, Market position and scalability, Strategic fit
4. Strategy development
