Consumable Engineer (x|f|m) - Hybrid

We are currently looking for a Consumable Engineer (x|f|m) to join our Consumables Engineering NA & LA team within Sartorius Stedim Systems GmbH. The position is full-time and based at our site in Guxhagen (near Kassel), with the option to work remotely on some days. In this role, you develop process solutions for customers in the biopharmaceutical industry, create design documents such as technical drawings, and perform cost analyses. Your work focuses on holistic single‑use design concepts, always considering Sartorius' preferred technologies as well as safety, economic efficiency, and quality for engineered single‑use process equipment. You will become part of a global team of around eight professionals who are excited to shape the future together with you.

• You develop and maintain design rules and guidelines for single‑use projects while providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders

• Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you clarify customer URS requirements and help drive consumables strategies and processes

• You prepare deviation lists and propose alternative technical solutions when needed

• By coordinating consumable designs, pricing, and quotations, you actively contribute to project decision‑making and support the sales strategy with pricing insights

• You manage design documents in line with project milestones and support technical and commercial customer meetings and negotiations in your role as Consumable Engineer (x|f|m)

• Reviewing and approving design documentation, you also support equipment troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities

• You facilitate the transfer of prototypes into commercial products and provide on‑site training for local teams

• Participation in on‑site customer visits is part of the role when required

• In collaboration with Product Development and Marketing, you analyze future market trends, evaluate products, and implement feedback loops for ongoing improvement

• You have a qualification and relevant professional experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and hands‑on experience with single‑use technologies

• A strong passion for the biopharmaceutical industry and process engineering topics and trends, particularly in consumable design, sets you apart

• You demonstrate solid project management and coordination skills

• Thanks to your strong interpersonal skills, you recognize underlying motivations, align different interests, and act in a goal‑oriented and diplomatic manner

• High customer orientation, assertiveness, and excellent communication skills go hand in hand with your negotiation abilities

• You collaborate effectively in cross‑functional and global teams and remain well organized, even under pressure

• Business‑fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, as well as a willingness to travel (approx. 5%) complete your profile
