Database administrator (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• You will manage our databases holistically – technically, conceptually and operationally. Your focus includes: - Administration, configuration and optimization of complex database environments - Installation, security and lifecycle management as well as performance tuning and error analysis - Planning and implementation of database projects, migrations and architecture modernizations in on-prem, hybrid and cloud setups - Development and operation of high availability, replication and backup/recovery concepts - Monitoring as well as incident, problem and change management - Carrying out updates and upgrades – classic or automated (IaC, Ansible) - Technical advice for internal and external customers, including workshops, presentations, documentation and know-how transfer

Must-have-Requirements

• This is what you bring with you - Experience in administering relational database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server)

• Certifications are a plus - Experience in HA and backup technologies as well as in error analysis - Confident use of Linux and/or Windows - Basic knowledge of scripting (Shell, Perl, SQL) and deployment - Optional: Experience with cloud architectures for database environments - Analytical thinking skills, clear communication and a structured, independent way of working - Strong service orientation, ability to work in a team and desire for continuous development - Optional: Familiarity with ITIL processes and service desk structures - Very good knowledge of German and English
