Datacenter Shift Lead Technician/Datacenter Team Lead Tech

About Role:

We are hiring an experienced Senior Data Center Technician to lead onsite technical operations, mentor junior technicians, and ensure smooth, scalable, and high-quality data center performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for incidents, escalations, and retrofits.

• Lead and mentor a team of data center technicians to deliver high-quality daily operations.

• Oversee server upgrades, OS provisioning, rebuilds, and troubleshooting of hardware, network, and Linux/Windows issues.

• Perform diagnostics and failure analysis, replace defective components, and ensure minimal downtime.

• Drive adherence to global workflows, safety standards, and operational best practices.

• Support documentation creation, process improvements, and automation initiatives.

• Ensure accurate cabling, labeling, grounding, and quality checks during deployments.

• Track server fleet health, investigate issues, and ensure SLA compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of data center technician experience.

• Strong expertise in server hardware, diagnostics, IPMI, and component-level troubleshooting.

• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.

• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, WinPE, Linux, and PXE services.

• Understanding of L1–L3 network troubleshooting.

• Scripting experience (PowerShell / Python / Bash) preferred.

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, CCNA, MCP/MSCE are a strong advantage.

• Ability to work independently, handle physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs), and follow strict safety protocols.
