Overview
Deputy Head of Department (m / f / d) with a focus on technology in the Department 10.60 – Information and Technology Services.
Permanent full‑time position. Preference will be given to applicants with a severe disability when equally qualified. We particularly welcome applications from women to increase the proportion of women in management positions.
Remuneration according to the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD‑VKA) up to pay grade 14 (€64,500 – €91,900 gross annually depending on qualifications and experience). A temporary labor market bonus may be granted in justified cases in accordance with the TVöD‑VKA.
The department builds, plans and operates the district’s network and provides a range of central services and applications. It also develops a geoinfrastructure and an AI environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical management and coordination of the technical teams in cooperation with department management.
- Develop and implement IT strategies in collaboration with department management.
- Plan, implement, manage and monitor technical IT projects.
- Ensure IT security and data protection in coordination with the relevant officers.
- Monitor and maintain technical documentation and processes.
- Participate in the planning of budget funds and their use.
- Collaborate with external service providers and other stakeholders.
- Act as deputy for the head of department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics or Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable management position.
- Experience in server and client virtualization.
- Good knowledge of ITSM concepts such as ITIL.
- Good knowledge of ISMS based on DIN or BSI basic protection (200‑1 – 200‑4).
- Good knowledge of geoinformatics.
- Good knowledge of data center and network operation as well as security components.
- Good knowledge of process automation.
- Basic knowledge of the use of AI in the corporate environment.
- Experience in process and project management.
- High degree of conceptual and systematic approach.
- Very good knowledge of German (written and spoken), comparable to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Driving licence class B and willingness to use your own car for business trips.
