Development Engineer Optics & Sensors

Starting around 1 February 2026 (or later), we are looking for an engineer (all genders) on a full-time or part‑time basis (20-40 hours per week).

Your Responsibilities:

• Design of optronic systems in the visible and infrared range within interdisciplinary project teams
• Analysis of customer requirements and implementation in the system concept
• Qualification and measurement of electro-optical components and cameras according to the EMVA1288 standard
• Expansion and automation of optical measurement setups and their evaluation
• Optimization and configuration of image signal processing of cameras in image signal processors
• Simulation of imaging signal chains
• Evaluation of the latest sensor technologies regarding their suitability for our products
• Collaboration in a motivated development team within the Platforms department

Your Qualifications:

• Successfully completed studies in sensor technology, physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Basic knowledge in optics and image sensor technology
• Knowledge in image processing and signal processors
• Initial practical professional experience in the field of optical measurement technology is desirable
• Basic programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python
• Structured, goal-oriented, and quality‑conscious working style
• High analytical competence, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• High commitment, initiative, and willingness to learn
• Proficient knowledge of English, both written and spoken
