Corpay is currently looking to hire a Financial Accountant within our Plugsurfing division located in Berlin. In this role you will be fully accountable for your areas of responsibility and work closely with the rest of the Finance team to ensure high‑quality accounting data to support business decisions and meet the company’s compliance requirements. You will be responsible for the subledgers, especially Accounts Payables and VAT handling for Plugsurfing GmbH Germany, Plugsurfing BV NL Netherlands, Plugsurfing AB Sweden and Plugsurfing BV Finland. You need to ensure correct and timely payments and ledger reconciliation. You will also assist in month‑end works and ERP efficiency improvement projects and report to the Team Lead Accounting while collaborating regularly with FP&A and other departments.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Financial Accountant you will work in a hybrid environment (on average 2 days home office vs 3 days in office). Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

• Assigned workspace in Berlin office
• Company‑issued equipment: laptop, monitor and accessories + remote access for the home office days

Role Responsibilities

• Assure end‑to‑end management of accounts payable, including vendor data management, timely payments and payment reconciliations.
• Allocate payments made in different currencies to suppliers and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Execute VAT payments and reporting accurately and on time.
• Support the monthly closing process.
• Work closely with the finance team to produce high‑quality monthly financial information.
• Participate in developing and maintaining accounting processes to meet company targets and compliance requirements.
• Support Plugsurfing audit activities and development projects.
• Assist the finance team with ad‑hoc analysis.
• Help continuously improve ERP for subledgers and VAT reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Fluent in English (B2 or higher); German (B2 or higher) is an additional asset. Other languages such as Polish or Swedish are very welcome.
• Experience in accounts payable and payment processing.
• At least two years of professional experience.
• Reasonable understanding of different accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, German GAAP) from an accounting degree or professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, Bilanzbuchhalter, etc.).
• Good accounting skills, a can‑do attitude, and an eye for detail.
• Experience with Dynamics D365, Navision or Business Central highly beneficial. Other ERP experiences are welcome.
• Highly accurate work under time pressure.
• Pro‑active and able to drive project execution.
• Energetic, resourceful, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
