Fullstack NodeJS and ReactJS for Transaction Monitoring SaaS

Join a fast-growing SaaS company building advanced transaction monitoring solutions for banks and fintechs. This role offers the opportunity to own end-to-end development of a production-ready platform, tackling complex challenges in fraud detection, financial compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML). You’ll be part of a long-term engagement, working directly with product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that make an impact in the financial technology space.

Job Highlights

• Monthly Rate: USD 3225
• Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Full-time equivalent
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EEST (with 1-hour unpaid break; schedule adjustments considered)
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor
• Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Build transaction monitoring systems from scratch, rewriting and improving upon existing prototypes
• Develop sophisticated rule-based engines for detecting fraudulent and suspicious financial transactions
• Create customizable rule libraries that clients can configure via intuitive front-end interfaces
• Implement complex transaction analysis algorithms, including pattern detection, geographic anomaly detection, and behavioral analysis
• Build and maintain both front-end user interfaces and back-end processing systems
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning/review meetings
• Collaborate directly with the product team to define goals, priorities, and backlog items
• Maintain and enhance the system as customers are onboarded and request additional features

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience building financial transaction monitoring systems (not just contributing), ideally with SumSum.com or ex-Salv.com
• Mid-level to senior-level Node.js/React.js developer
• Full-stack capabilities with strong front-end and back-end expertise
• Deep understanding of AML and financial compliance requirements
• Experience with rule-based systems and complex transaction analysis
• Knowledge of fraud detection patterns and suspicious activity monitoring
• Ability to work independently as a “full-stack soldier” handling all aspects of development
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex financial technology challenges
