Fully funded PhD position in supply chain simulation (d/m/f)

We are looking to recruit a fully funded PhD candidate for the Department of Management Sciences at Bonn‑Rhein Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H‑BRS) starting on January 1st, 2026 at our Sankt Augustin campus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an innovative, publicly funded research project.
• Develop a digital twin for supply chains in cooperation with university and corporate partners.
• Present research results at national and international conferences.
• Contribute to scientific publications as part of a cooperative doctorate.
• Supervise students within the scope of the project.

Qualifications

• Hold an above‑average university degree in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Have initial experience in software development and ideally in supply chain management.
• Demonstrate analytical thinking, enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration, and work independently.
• Be proficient in English (C1 level) and, ideally, German, both spoken and written.
• Be willing and motivated to pursue a doctorate (PhD).

Employment conditions and benefits

• Full‑time position, remunerated according to Remuneration Group 13 TV‑L until 30 June 2029, and in principle suitable for part‑time work.
• Payment in accordance with the tariff salary agreement and a company pension scheme provide financial security now and in the future.
