In this position, you will play a crucial role in driving business development and digital transformation initiatives. You will actively support the business by optimizing processes and structures, particularly in customer service and all relevant internal sales activities. At the same time, you will enhance your technical knowledge and practical skills through our Global Trainee Program.
The Global Trainee Program lasts 24 months and includes two six-month rotations and one twelve-month rotation. One of these three rotations will take place abroad. During the program, you will gain experience in different areas, focusing on business strategy, process optimization, and digital transformation. Additionally, you will participate in a global onboarding event in June, where you can connect with other Discovery Program participants. A dedicated program manager will support you throughout the entire program.

This role is part of the Business Area Electrification and the Smart Building Division. The primary location for this position is Heidelberg, Germany. Key stakeholders include the Business Development team, Sales team, and external partners and customers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Supporting the development and optimization of processes in customer service and all internal sales activities to enhance business operations.
Designing and implementing Processes in the project environment to drive business strategies and process improvements.
Further development of KPI-based monitoring systems to transparently display all activities in the respective business area and identify potential process improvements.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline business development activities and enhance digital transformation.
Participating in targeted training programs (e.g., Leadership Challenge Program, specific functional training) to develop personal, professional, and leadership skills.
Engaging in professional development opportunities, including webinars on curiosity and creativity, as well as conducting research and analysis projects.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Digital Business, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
Strong analytical skills to assess business opportunities and enhance decision-making processes.
Initial practical experience in business development, digital transformation, or process optimization, ideally through internships or student positions.
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Digital-native mindset with an understanding of modern business tools and data-driven strategies.
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel internationally for the planned rotation abroad.
Maximum of two years of professional experience at the start of the program.
High motivation to acquire new skills and knowledge.
