Our team at the BMW Group Open Innovation supports the development of AI‑based solutions that empower innovators to create and validate their ideas. We offer you the opportunity to contribute to dynamic projects in a collaborative environment.

What awaits you?

• You will support designing and implementing web‑based end‑to‑end prototypes, including frontend and backend development.
• Furthermore, you help to build scalable micro‑services and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Moreover, you assist in integrating large language models (e.g., GPT‑4, Llama 3) into our tool architecture using LangChain or RAG.
• In addition, you support the design of training and fine‑tuning pipelines, test prompt strategies, and evaluation frameworks.
• You will help to build data models and ETL pipelines in the BMW cloud environment (AWS or Azure).
• Furthermore, you collaborate with designers to turn mock‑ups into working features and run A/B tests with internal pilot users.
• Moreover, you help translate customer insights into technical features and assess the scalability of developments.

What should you bring along?

• Studies in computer science, software engineering, data science, business informatics or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in at least two languages, ideally Python (Flask or FastAPI) and TypeScript or JavaScript (React, Next.js).
• Hands‑on experience with large language models (OpenAI or LangChain).
• Familiarity with agile methods, Kanban, Git and CI/CD.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for Build‑Measure‑Learn approaches.
• Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
