Internal Sales Engineer

TheInternal Sales Engineer supports the sales team by handling administrative and operational activities, enabling Sales Engineers to focus on customer engagement. The position involves close collaboration with suppliers, Operations, and Headquarters, managing inquiries in the system and supporting the quotation process, including translations and cost estimations.

Responsibilities

• Place inquiries into the system around the entire portfolio of test systems and test services of LINK
• Prepare quotations in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and applications
• Following and achieving deadlines for the submission of quotations
• Maintain accurate records of target accounts, deals, opportunity stages, close dates and magnitudes, contacts, and correspondence in the CRM
• Support activities around business development, marketing, and exhibitions
• Drive time and quality proposals and help implement sales improvements
• Communicating with customers to gain feedback on quotations
• Work with Sales Engineers, suppliers and headquarter

Skills

• Technical background (mechanical and/or electrical engineer, master, bachelor, technician or comparable)
• Work experience in test equipment manufacturing or internal sales
• Open to develop into a Sales Engineer over a period of time
• Business fluent English and German
• Skilled with PC / MS Office
• Analytical, observant, patient and communicative to handle the precise nature of the work
• Social and pragmatic character preferably due to need to interact with others, externally and internally
• Readiness to travel within Germany & Europe as required by customers, although the amount expected to be less than 10%
• Valid driver’s license
• Flexibility and proactivity, team player.
