International Business Development Manager (Europe)

Canton Biologics excels in accelerating biologics R&D while lowering costs for clients, achieving milestones such as transitioning from DNA to CMC in just seven months. The company offers services in biologics CDMO, including monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and cell and gene therapies. It operates 13+5 manufacturing lines that meet China, US, and EU GMP standards.

Role Description

Client Development and Partnership Establishment:

• Identify and cultivate prospective clients within Germany and adjacent European nations (e.g., Switzerland, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland), encompassing biotechnology firms, pharmaceutical corporations, and academic research institutions.
• Demonstrate the organization's expertise in cell line development, process optimization, pilot-scale manufacturing, and large-scale commercial production to foster collaborative partnerships.

Cross-Border Project Support and Coordination:

• Serve as a liaison between China and Europe, facilitating seamless communication between clients and the technical team at the China headquarters for project assessment, solution formulation, and technical consultations.
• Facilitate contract execution, corporate negotiations, and proposal development during initial business operations.
• Ensure timely follow-up on critical initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and cultivate more robust collaborative partnerships.

Market Intelligence and Brand Development:

• Conduct ongoing research on trends and competitive dynamics within the European CDMO sector, identifying potential opportunities and formulating distinctive market entry strategies.
• Participate in regional industry conferences and exhibitions throughout Europe to elevate the company's brand visibility and market presence.
• Quarterly travel to the corporate headquarters in China is required for business reporting, professional development training, and interdepartmental collaboration initiatives.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a closely related discipline. Preference for candidates who have completed their doctoral studies in Germany or other European nations.
• 5 years of professional experience within European pharmaceutical corporations, biotechnology enterprises, or academic research institutions.
• Familiarity with the contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) industry or biopharmaceutical research and development (R&D) and production processes is advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong initiative, a positive attitude, and exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A robust commitment to professional advancement and the capacity to autonomously drive initiatives within a multicultural setting.
• Proficient in English, demonstrating effective communication abilities in international business environments.
