Responsibilities

• Perform extensive financial and valuation analysis to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital‑raising transactions.
• Build advanced financial models and apply valuation methods, providing insights and guidance to analysts.
• Lead due diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions, identifying deal issues and escalating concerns promptly.
• Contribute to presentation development and hypothesis testing to highlight financial analysis and research results.
• Develop, produce and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects, demonstrating broad knowledge of investment‑banking products.
• Participate actively in client meetings and drafting sessions.
• Research and expand industry expertise, monitor key drivers, and offer strategic insights to facilitate processes.
• Identify process improvements and propose solutions to complete tasks more efficiently.
• Maintain client relationships, fostering effective dialogue with finance and accounting staff to facilitate processes.
• Apply knowledge of macroeconomic factors relevant to client industry and investment‑banking products.
• Provide on the job training for analysts, giving constructive feedback to improve quality of work and ensure senior team awareness of contributions.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
• Prior investment banking experience required; 1+ years as an Investment Banking Associate strongly preferred.
• Internship or prior work experience in the financial services industry preferred.
• Requirement to successfully complete Level 3 FCA exams within 90 days of commencing employment (UK and EU only).
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal and computer skills.
• Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
• Ability to manage expectations of senior bankers while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective leadership and coaching skills.
• Strong desire to win.
• Sound judgement.
• Deep, sophisticated understanding of accounting and finance.
• Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers.
• Travel required: approximately 10% to 30%.
