As an IT Senior Linux Administrator , you are architect, engineer, and troubleshooter all at once. At one of our locations in Usingen near Frankfurt, Munich, or Hamburg , you not only keep our Linux systems running—you make them better. You build automation where others still click manually and take our hybrid IT landscape to the next level. From the core of the data center to the cloud: your systems run so stable, secure, and high-performing that even the kernel smiles.

Your tasks

• Administration, configuration, and optimization of our Linux server landscape (Red Hat Enterprise, Debian, Ubuntu)


• Ensuring stable, secure, and high-performance operation of business-critical systems


• Automation of deployments and operational processes using Ansible, Bash, or Python


• Operation and enhancement of web and application servers (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat) and database systems (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)


• Supporting and expanding monitoring, logging, and backup solutions (CheckMK, Grafana, Veeam)


• Support in virtualization (Proxmox, VMware) and container environments (Docker, Kubernetes)


• Analysis and resolution of complex incidents (2nd- and 3rd-level support)


• Close collaboration with network, security, and DevOps teams on infrastructure projects


• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and optimization of existing processes


• Support with IT security, compliance, and audit-related topics

Your profile

• Completed vocational training or degree in IT (e.g., IT specialist for system integration, computer science, information technology)


• At least 5 years of experience in Linux system administration within complex IT environments


• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian) and shell scripting


• Experience with automation and deployment tools (Ansible, Jenkins)


• Knowledge in virtualization (Proxmox, VMware) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)


• Strong knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPN) and security concepts


• Familiar with web servers (Apache, Nginx), databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL), and monitoring systems (Nagios, CheckMK)


• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and strong quality mindset


• Team spirit, initiative, and sense of responsibility


• Required language skills: German – C1, English – C1
