Securitas business is organised in three operational divisions each with its own IT/IS organisation. Securitas Europe has launched its transformation programme which includes the implementation of new platforms and new services delivered from a European or global centralised team.

The 24 European countries are managed on IT/IS through three clusters. To ensure the implementation of the Securitas Europe strategy in the alignment of working methods, processes and systems, each cluster has a domain delivery owner responsible for alignment and rationalisation. The Securitas Operation Center (SOC) is placed in the centre of our organisation and connects our people, technologies and processes to provide us with the ability to use key information in order to take the correct action for our customers, 24/7. The proximity of our IT services to the business in the countries is a key factor of success for Securitas.

About the role

This role serves as a strategic interface between the IT department and the SOC Business to identify, surface and shape demand. It involves advising business partners on technology strategies, educating stakeholders about IT processes, roles, products and capabilities, and resolving business issues. Additionally, the manager will oversee and coordinate cross‑domain teams to ensure cohesive and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership : Act as a strategic interface between IT and SOC Business to stimulate, surface and shape demand.
  • Advisory Role : Serve as an advisor to business to shape their technology strategies and educate partners about IT processes, roles, products and capabilities.
  • Issue Resolution : Identify, evaluate and resolve business issues across all functional areas within IT.
  • Budget Management : Manage budgets effectively to support IT and SOC initiatives.
  • Problem Solving : Work on abstract and complex problems, providing solutions across all IT functional areas.
  • Technical Expertise : Possess extensive technical (SOC) knowledge, act as a point of contact to share information about business area.
  • Leadership : Exhibit leadership qualities to assigned group(s) within IT according to the Securitas Leadership Framework.
  • Strategy Implementation : Implement the Global SOC Digital IT strategy to improve the performance of all SOCs through the adoption of best practice business processes and technology standardisation.
  • Cross‑Domain Team Management : Oversee and coordinate cross‑domain teams to ensure cohesive and effective operations, fostering collaboration and alignment across various functions.
  • Business Alignment : Champion to the Business for identifying and driving innovative IT solutions while being a strong interface to the European SOC Digital IT Organisation.

Job specific tasks

  • Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff and end users.
  • Communicate business needs with technology solutions team to gain alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
  • Communicate with other executives regarding costs, value and risk‑potential of IT projects.
  • Lead the local SOC Digital IT team, responsible for the day‑to‑day support and new project/product development for the SOC operations teams.
  • Deep understanding of application portfolio, IT strategy and roadmap and business priorities.
  • Drive and own the Cyber Security Program (SRP) for the SOC.
  • Understand industry including financials, market trends, opportunities and threats.
  • Work together with the SOC Digital IT SDO on business case development including identifying metrics that drive value.
  • Knowledge of required technologies (including 3rd‑party solutions).
  • Ensure, contribute to and participate in service documentation and compliance according to relevant standard guidelines (ITIL, ITSM and security processes).
  • Managerial duties, including budget management, resource augmentation, relationship building with vendors and external teams, and resource allocation.
  • Manage programme and project initiatives.
  • Track ROI for business initiatives including cost, benefits and risk.
  • Gather high‑level business requirements and define scope during initial discovery by conducting meetings/interviews and facilitating large group/cross‑functional sessions with partners.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies, and, where appropriate, make recommendations for implementation of new/up‑graded systems and technologies.
  • Combines a general knowledge of multiple technology areas with knowledge of the targeted business function to define and document the business requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of multiple business functions and initiatives to identify where conflicts/synergies exist between technologies and business functions.
  • Ensure alignment with the IT Organisation (SDO’s), Application and Infrastructure Services functions.
  • Have hands‑on approach in solving issues and incidents, support users in installations, knowledge transfer, instructions, training and testing.
  • Follow up on incidents and changes processed by 2nd and 3rd line support.
  • Participate in the 24/7 support team.

Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience within Information Technology including leading large, complex IT projects and team leadership at a country or regional level.
  • Working experience with Project Management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Prince2, PMBOK etc.), Web Technologies & Integration Platforms , Microsoft technologies and cybersecurity principles would be essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; vocational degree in ICT combined with related experience might be considered as well.
  • Experience with Field Mobility solutions and good knowledge of physical security industry would be needed.
  • Experience with alarm‑receiver and receiving platforms is a plus.
  • Good balance of experience from both the Infrastructure and Application areas.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance , strategy and alignment with business objectives .
  • Ability to lead and navigate in environments during change.
  • High proficiency in English and German .

Location

Role is located in Berlin or Mannheim office in Germany. Hybrid working is possible, but we require regular presence in the office.
