Job Description

Your Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Serve as Lead Engineer for digital trim development within the overall seat cover development process.
• Project Management – Seat Covers: Lead and coordinate development projects for all seat cover variants and configurations.
• Material & Technology Development: Take technical responsibility for the selection, development, and validation of new materials and processing technologies.
• Interface Management: Collaborate closely with Design, Purchasing, Quality, and Production to ensure a smooth industrialization process.
• Feasibility & Validation: Conduct feasibility studies, material testing, and approval processes.
• Technical Documentation: Support the creation of technical specifications and development documentation.
• Innovation & Sustainability: Identify and implement opportunities for sustainable materials and processes.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical guidance for project‑related activities and support colleagues in the trim shop.

Requirements

Your Profile

• Completed diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience as a Lead Engineer, including experience in Trim & Paper Pattern
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Very good command of English and German , both written and spoken
• Strong team orientation a nd collaborative working style
• Willingness to travel internationally

Training Phases Provided by TB

You will receive comprehensive training in the following areas:

• Toyota System (TBJ, TBPL, TBSTR, TBA)
• Toyota Philosophy for Trim Covers (zero‑wrinkle principle)
• Toyota Production System (TPS)
• Toyota Documentation Standards
• Toyota Quality Standards

Training Duration and Locations

As part of your onboarding and qualification phase:

• You will spend 2–4 months in Japan for intensive training.
• Thi period does not have to be completed in one continuous stay.
• Additionally, you will spend 2–3 weeks each in the Toyota plants in Poland, Turkey, and France .
