Lead RF IC Layout Engineer

My client is seeking an experienced RF IC Layout Engineer to join their highly skilled international team developing cutting-edge silicon photonics-based interconnect solutions for high-speed data centres. This role is based in Berlin and hybrid or even fully remote is an option, but only within the EU. Candidates from outside of the EU will be considered but under the condition of relocating to Germany. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the layout of monolithically integrated electronic circuits that complement photonic devices. Your day to day will be the design of high-speed drivers and amplifiers targeting up to 400 Gb/s transmission, collaborating closely with photonic design and system teams. Key Responsibilities Develop layouts for high-speed integrated circuit blocks enabling advanced photonic data transmissionBlock- and core-level verification (LVS, DRC, ERC, EMIR)Collaborate closely with photonic design and system engineering teamsApply consistent layout methodologies and support scalable design environments Your Qualifications And Skills B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5 – 10 year industry experience in RF IC Layout for 56 GHz and higher, BiCMOS or CMOS, Cadence Design toolsStrong knowledge of chip-level layout flows and DFM practices If you are interested to contributed to the development of next generation interconnect solutions for data centre, please contact Ane @ IC Resources with your CV and a time for a short call.
