Learning Experience / Instructional Designer

Your role

As our Learning Experience Designer (m/f/d) you will be a key member of the academic and content team. You will be responsible for working with our clients to develop bespoke scalable corporate learning solutions. You will also work closely with our creative team to develop new and innovative approaches to teaching and learning that harness the emerging power of AI.

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) based in Berlin, Germany. Fluency in German (C1-C2 level) is essential due to the nature of the tasks involved. We can only consider applicants who are currently residing in Germany and are legally permitted to work here.

• Support the development of corporate learning experiences that aid in the growth of employees and serve our client’s company vision, values, and strategic goals.
• Work with internal company SMEs (subject matter experts), L&D departments, and stakeholders to structure knowledge into meaningful, shareable microlearning courses.
• Create engaging online learning experiences that go beyond the typical course-centric approach.
• Share your expertise of learner needs and best practices in the e-learning space to help shape our content and product strategies.
• Develop and introduce tools to evaluate and measure the impact of our work on both individual learners and for our clients.
• Work daily with AI tools to build workflows and processes, optimizing the course development process and learner experience.

Your profile

• As our learner advocate you have an in-depth understanding of adult learning theory, and online course design.
• You have at least 2+ years experience working as a learning designer or in a comparable education field, ideally with touch points in corporate education (specifically in HR, Learning & Development, SaaS).
• You are experienced in developing individual course curriculum and larger learning programs.
• You are highly organized and able to autonomously manage client projects to high professional standards.
• You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable speaking and presenting to all levels within an organization including senior leadership.
• You speak and write German at or near native level and possess advanced spoken and written English skills.
• You are passionate about education and technology and excited about the potential of new tech, specifically AI, in the education space.
• You are tech-savvy and highly capable with all standard programs (MS Office, Teams, G-Suite, Slack & Co.).
• Desired but not required are additional skills in media content creation (e.g., Adobe CC Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects or other visual/course design tools).
• You have experience working in a fast-moving and qualitatively demanding environment.
• You thrive in a multi-tasking dynamic start-up culture and can adjust priorities on-the-fly.
• You are collaborative and a thoughtful team player.
• You are based in Berlin or willing to relocate. We cannot provide relocation services or visa sponsorship .
