In this role, you will focus on developing intelligent driving functions and managing large-scale data pipelines in a cloud environment. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of safe and intelligent mobility solutions. Your tasks Design and implement machine learning models for perception, prediction, and decision-making in autonomous driving systemsDevelop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for training and evaluating ML modelsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data scientists, and system architectsEnsure data quality, consistency, and availability across distributed systemsAnalyze large-scale sensor and vehicle data to improve model performance and system behavior Your Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Data Engineering, or a related fieldStrong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)Solid understanding of data engineering principles and cloud-based data processing toolsFamiliarity with autonomous driving technologies and sensor data (e.g., LiDAR, radar, camera)Experience working with distributed systems and large-scale datasetsPractical knowledge of MLOps, data versioning tools, and cloud-native architectures (including infrastructure-as-code)Understanding of safety and validation requirements in automotive applicationsFluent in German (C2) and English (B2 or higher)Willingness to travel occasionallyStrong sense of responsibility, structured working style, and excellent communication skillsConfident, proactive, and comfortable working in intercultural teams We offer Flexible working hours with trust-based working hoursUp to 80% working remotely as well as 20 days/year working from abroad in the EU30 leave days + 6-8 additional free days due to conversion optionAttractive compensation with 5 special paymentsBenefits and employee discounts including VW leasing offersCompany pension schemeDigital learning from everywhereGlobal career opportunities with TRATON brands in Sweden, USA and Brazi Job information This position is with TRATON R&D Germany GmbH in München (department TGRAAC1 (70471219)).
