Manager Project Infrastructure

We are looking for experienced inland waterway skippers with a strong technical understanding to operate our modern multi‑purpose workboat, the VIKING ORVAR. The position is based in the Rhine, Danube, Main and Moselle, and includes responsibility for maintaining the mooring infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating internal project management, ensuring technical, high‑quality, and timely execution of new construction and existing floating facilities, and expanding the infrastructure.
• Obtaining and managing all relevant documents for approvals and processing funding applications.
• Interfacing with external planners, project managers, specialist departments, shipyards, suppliers, and maintaining contact with authorities.
• Participating in concept meetings, project planning meetings, and construction meetings.
• Documenting construction phases, monitoring deadlines and schedules, and maintaining the project management platform (Smartsheet).
• Responsible for project approval.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree or training in the technical or business administration field.
• Professional experience in project management.
• Very good command of German and good command of English.
• Confident knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Efficient time management and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel to the Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube rivers.
