Market Expansion Intern (m/w/d)

What To Expect

In this role, you will work closely with the Central European leadership team to help rapidly scale and expand the network of Tesla locations across 8 markets in Central Europe. As a Market Expansion Intern, you will be contributing towards the development of the expansion strategy and planning, as well as supporting successful execution.

You will work directly with Sales, Service, and Delivery leaders as well as the Real Estate and Infrastructure Development team, to create and implement market growth strategies. As part of the Market Expansion team, you will develop in-depth knowledge of market dynamics across Central Europe to define cohesive business plans, while aligning on the highest-level company priorities, to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives. You will have the unique opportunity to further develop in data-driven strategic planning and day-to-day operations and to utilize your skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis, project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.

What You'll Do

• Own aspects of the planning and analytics process, including forecast analysis, market expansion strategy, and operational strategy
• Conduct in-depth market research and combine qualitative and quantitative analysis to define and execute the market expansion strategy
• Utilize internal and external data tools to provide the planning and argumentation for opportunities and forecast expected demand, utilization, and headcount for new infrastructure projects
• Communicate effectively with the senior management team to establish, present, and discuss business cases for expansion projects and align business priorities
• Support with coordinating search campaigns and conducting site visits to ensure we identify the ideal infrastructure in key markets and cities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and local Sales and Service teams to structure and accelerate the opening of new locations
• Assist and coordinate with other business planning counterparts on wider expansion plans and performance monitoring across EMEA

What You'll Bring

• Preferred field of studies: Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Real Estate Management, Engineering, Project Management
• You are fluent in English (C1 Level), German skills (at least a B1 Level) are a big plus
• You have a strong analytical mindset with a genuine interest in strategy, business development, project management, and operations
• You are proactive, curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• You have initial experience with creating executive-level presentations based on derived insights
• You have a hardworking mindset and are willing to go above and beyond to reach your goals
• You are willing and flexible to travel across Central Europe, for projects and business operations
• You have strong communication skills, prioritizing answers first communication
